There isnt a role he's played that Harold Perrineau didn't add his own unique charisma to. From his amazing performance as wheelchair-bound August Hill in Oz, to steely kingpin Damon Pope in Sons of Anarchy, Perrineau brings a level of engagement to his performances that many actors cant achieve. Although Manny doesnt appear in the Hellblazer series, there are other angels that show up in the comics who exhibit a similar level of aloofness (John is fond of referring to them as w**kers). Its also refreshing to see an angel whose doesnt resemble a pale skinned, blonde-haired member of the Aryan race. Manny has been sent by heaven to aid Constantine in his battle against the rising darkness, but - as so often is the case with Godly matters - human free will means he is not allowed to intervene directly, he can only offer guidance. A recent episode saw him contravening this rule, for which he claimed he will face consequences. Is this the start of him defying heavens rules in order to save humanity? Will he eventually be banished for his actions? We need to know!
