10 Reasons DC Fans NEED To Watch Titans

5. Hawk And Dove

Titans Team show Robin Starfire Beast Boy Raven DC Universe
Warner Bros.

Two people that aren't part of the Titans turned out to be two of the show's best characters. That's no dig on the central players in the show either - rather a credit to Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly for taking what could've been side personas and making them engaging and easy to connect with.

These are characters, much like the central players, who aren't without their own personal demons and troubles. They are not idealized or perfect, just people with their own set of abilities that both assist and curse them.

Their relationship, throughout the course of only two episodes, feels organic and genuine. Both share a connection that is evident and largely unspoken, avoiding too much exposition and just letting the audience recognize what's going on themselves.

Each Hawk and Dove episode is a highlight of the season, which may seem like a backhanded compliment since they're not the focus, but it's not. Rather, they are important characters placed on the sidelines, ready to go in and excel when called forward. Let's hope season 2 offers even more runtime for this scene-stealing duo.
