Dexter Morgan. It isnt often when the name of a character achieves perfection, but in this case the rose could not exist as any other. The name Dexter conjures up images of mad scientist, socially awkward chemistry major, or that guy in the back of the biology lab who never speaks and you are not the least bit surprised to find out he likes to stick sharp needles into bugs for fun. Simply put, Dexter is the name of a dangerous misfit. That is why Showtime named the show after its antihero, and that is why so many people are drawn to it. Between movies and television, we have all seen many a slasher come and go, but Dexter stands apart from them as the lovable sociopath. He is Frankensteins Monster living next door we secretly wish we could become even for a second because sometimes it feels so good to be so bad.
