10 Reasons Disney Plus Will Dominate Netflix
9. All The Pixar Shorts
Pixar have been a part of Disney for as long as most people remember; thinking of them as ever being separate companies seems absurd. The day might yet come where we feel the same about Star Wars, Marvel or Fox, too.
As a result, the fact that the Pixar movies will be on Disney+ within a year hasn’t really generated much buzz or discussion. It just seems to be something of an accepted point. You wouldn’t really get excited if Nintendo announced that the next Zelda was going to be a Nintendo exclusive because... well, yeah. Obviously.
However, what might raise a bit more intrigue is the announcement that every one of the Pixar shorts will be joining Disney Plus. Most Disney fans will have seen the majority of the Pixar movies, but unless they saw all of them in the cinema (and arrived with plenty of time), they likely haven’t seen all of the shorts.
Some of them are absolutely brilliant too, like Partly Cloudy, Day & Night or Lou. Nostalgia only gets you so far, it’s new content (or at least content the audience hasn’t seen before) which truly grows a brand.
