10 Reasons A Friends Movie Would Be A Terrible Idea

2. There Are Too Many Questions

What happened to Ben? He sort of dropped out of existence when Emma was born. Did Monica and Chandler manage to be good parents? Did Ross and Rachel manage to make their relationship last? What about Mike and Phoebe? And is Joey an accomplished actor yet? These are just a few of the myriad of questions that would need answering in the film. Between explaining what characters have done, answering these questions, setting up a story and cramming the jokes in, there would simply not be enough time for the film to be successful. Friends had incredible writers; they made the show what it is. But even these skilled writers would struggle to pack all these answers into the movie. Friends left many questions unanswered, most of which you can create your own answers to, but to actually answer them would be pretty hard. Ben was neglected as a character as soon as Emma was born, and surely that would give him some form of mental issues. This could make for an interesting development of the character, but it would certainly undermine the early seasons of the show. They should just leave it in the ambiguity that it is currently in, and not have to answer these questions.
