10 Reasons People Stopped Watching The Walking Dead

7. It's Very Repetitive

Defenders of the show will say that there's only so much you can do in a zombie-infested world, so it's natural that The Walking Dead's plot tends to go round in the same old circles, but the fact is there's only so many times we can sit and watch near-identical formulas and ideas play out.

Again and again, Rick and his buddies meet crazily evil people, lose a few of their own, and then eventually end up beating the bad guys and enjoying a little bit of peace before the next villain rolls up. Even when they're not fighting some maniacal bad guys, the heroes tend to just sit around, play house, chat about the pointlessness of existence and scavenge in grey houses and dull forests.

The worst part is that the show's producers have stated on multiple occasions that they want to drag this thing out as long as possible. Plans are already in place for seasons 9, 10, 11, 12, and beyond. AMC know they've got a huge cash cow and want to milk it for all its worth, but the writers are clearly running out of ideas and we keep seeing similar scenes from one season to the next.
