The Star Wars Universe is filled with criminal organizations that are up to all kinds of illegal and deadly shenanigans, and Aphra has worked with most of them. Most casual fans are familiar with the Hutts, thanks to the nasty green slug from Return of the Jedi named Jabba. But the Hutts are only the tip of the criminal iceberg.
During the Clone Wars, the Black Sun became a force in the underworld while the Jedi's focus was elsewhere. Similarly, the Pyke Syndicate, who dealt in illegal spice, were also well known. Both organizations ended up joining Maul's Shadow Collective and assisted in his attempted takeover of Mandalore.
Aphra's favorite criminal organization is the Shadow University, a nefarious group of scholars who are up to no good. They have a library filled with forbidden and rare knowledge that Aphra adores. They would be a perfect addition to a series, both as an employer for Aphra and as a potential target.
