10 Reasons Why Family Guy Is Better Than The Simpsons

7. The Simpsons Is Rather Childish

The Simpsons became a success story because it was a cartoon that targeted adults. Family Guy has grown off the back of the groundwork done by The Simpsons, but watching The Simpsons in the modern age makes it look rather tame. The humour is slapstick based in recent episodes, and by comparison to Family Guy it simply looks more childish. Even The Simpsons Movie was child friendly, and while this is the niche in the market that Matt Groening managed to capitalise on (a show parents and children could watch together), The yellow family are no longer funny enough. Classic Simpsons is hilarious, no matter how old you are. In essence, the less refined the graphics are, the better the episode will be. This is because as the show has stayed on air longer and longer, it has sought to offend less and remain palatable to the widest possible audience. Family Guy is still funniest to young adults, but this is not its exclusive audience.
