1. Eight Seasons In And Still Going!
The finale of the eighth season of Its Always Sunny aired in December 2012 and the ninth is on its way later this year. How has this show succeeded where others have failed? The secret to the shows success is, in my opinion, valuing good quality writing over fancy sets and huge celebrity pay packets (DeVito is reportedly earning a relative pittance for his role). Or perhaps FX just wouldnt deign to cancel the show given it costs about a quarter of the cost of most American sitcoms ($400,000 per episode) and has an ever-growing fan base. In a world of six episode series and constant cancellations, this show has so much to give. Nearly 9 whole seasons in fact. Hopefully theyll round it up to an even ten.
