10 Reasons You Should Be Watching The Harley Quinn TV Show

6. The Supporting Characters Are Equally Hilarious

It may be a Harley Quinn show, but the titular character isn't the only recognisable face you'll see on the show.

I've already mentioned Poison Ivy's appearance as the logical "best-friend" who has to play the role of den mother to Harley's squad, but she isn't alone in a wonderful characterisation, as the character dynamics might be the best thing about the series.

Whether it's the slob-like Jim Gordon, the foul-mouthed Doctor Psycho or the emotionally gentle King Shark, the laughs never stop. And while the episodes focus primarily on Harley's quest to be her own super-villain and escape Joker's shadow, her supporting cast equally have their own adventures to solve.

But the real standout of the series is the Shakespearean actor that is Clayface; a goofy punching bag with the voice of Douglas Reynholm from The IT Crowd. His miss-pronunciation (and sometimes over-pronunciation) of basic words is already rib-tickling, but when he starts involving himself too much in a shape-shifting role is when the show kicks the character up a notch.

The show has fun honing in and parodying the menace of the scarier Batman villains into outrageous caricatures of themselves. Tropes and character profile clichés aside, it's hilarious to watch King Shark be the most emotionally sensitive of the bunch.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
