10 Revived TV Shows That Should Have Stayed Dead
10. Knight Rider
Legend has it David Hasselhoff quit Knight Rider because the car received more fan mail than him, and despite a couple of forgotten attempts to create a spin-off (Team Knight Rider, anyone?) the show was consigned to sweet 80s nostalgia. That changed in 2008 when NBC attempted a glossy modern reboot, and ended up creating arguably the most forgettable TV series in history.
The show follows Michael Knight's estranged son who is tasked with driving the new model KITT, voiced this time by a very sleepy Val Kilmer. How the producers took such a silly, fun idea like Knight Rider and made something so monotonous is almost impressive, and there isnt a single interesting character or sequence in the entire series
A reluctant David Hasselhoff made a tiny cameo at the end of the first episode, which teased his return somewhere down the line. Thankfully the show didn't make it that far, getting canned after seventeen episodes. Still, the new car was kind of cool.
