A big no-no in the comedy world is making light of horrific historical events. Obviously, Roiland and Harmond didn't get the memo because they managed to create an episode which features a very obvious rip-off of Adolf Hitler.

Beth and Jerry have gone out of town for a bit so Rick decides to invite over his interdimensional friends and throw a party. Soon the party gets out of hand and is crashed by a familiar-looking man by the name of Abradolf Lincler. He declares his hatred for Rick, his creator, and makes a racist joke, resulting in a fight in which another partygoer beats him up.

At first, Lincler is portrayed in a bad light, but the episode ends with him being portrayed as a hero who sacrifices his life, so we’re not totally sure what message the creators were trying to send with this one. They obviously don't condone racism and they do make fun of the man throughout the episode, but he does come out on top by the end of it, which left a few fans upset. The signals are mixed when it comes to Mr Lincler.
