10 Rick And Morty Episodes Probably Made Out Of Spite

7. The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy - S3 E5

Rick and Morty Rick Potion #9
Adult Swim

This episode is one big comment about teenage boys and their ability to ruin young girls' confidence.

While Rick and Jerry are off galavanting at a cosmic theme park, Summer is busy dealing with her recent breakup with her boyfriend Ethan. Heartbroken by the end of her relationship and the fact that Ethan dumped her for another girl based upon the size of her boobs, she raids Rick's gadgets and discovers a device that will enlarge her breasts and hopefully allow her to win back her adolescent boyfriend. In the predictable Rick and Morty fashion, things go wrong for Summer and she manages to turn herself into a large and disgusting inside-out monster.

The episode investigates another theme while dealing with the brutality of high school breakups, as Beth comes to the rescue and manages to comfort Summer and stop her from murdering Ethan.

Morty subtly threatens Ethan and the episode ends with him getting exactly what he deserves for being a jerk. Either Roiland or Harmond went through a nasty breakup in school or they have daughters who have fallen victim to stupid teenage boys. Either way, pre-pubescent boys are not portrayed in a favourable way.
