10 Roles Doctor Who Actors Wish They'd Turned Down

1. John Barrowman In Shark Attack 3

Or Shark Attack 3: Megalodon, to use its full name, which sounds much more dramatic. And let's face it, this ill-fated straight to video sequel needed all the help it could muster in that department because a film about the most menacing shark to ever rule the waters literally couldn't be less terrifying if it tried. And boy, did it try. John Barrowman tried, too, God love him, as its protagonist, Ben Carpenter, who takes on the mighty task of hunting down the fierce killer and destroying it before there's no one left to stop its reign of terror. Or something like that, anyway. A promising premise - at least, if you like that sort of thing - which is ultimately let down by the fact that the script is god damned awful and the shark itself is lacking any sense of real threat due to the fact that it keeps getting bigger, smaller and then bigger again at various points throughout the film. That's not why John is so eager to remove this catastrophic fail from his otherwise reputable résumé, though. At one point his character gives his colleague Cataline Stone, played by Jenny McShane (no, we haven't heard of her either!), an offer she simply couldn't refuse when he invited to take her home so he could eat her p***y. Seriously. 13 years and 2 million views later, the infamous line is an Internet meme sensation. Now there's something to get your teeth into. What did you think of this list?
