1. "I Can Feel It..."

The Doctor has delivered his fair share of inspirational speeches over the last decade and here's the one that started it all. This memorable moment is particularly poignant as it was NuWho's first "serious" insight into the Doctor's character. As Rose Tyler was learning more about this mysterious man, so were the millions of new viewers who had just been introduced to him for the first time. He certainly left her - and us - hanging, too, and his ominous declaration that he "can feel it... the turn of the Earth..." (not pompous at all, then!) was enough to ensure that an entire nation was hanging on his every word. Rose Tyler was never really going to be able to forget him after that, was she? Oh, it's also one of those classic Doctor Who speeches that sound amazing in every way yet tells us absolutely nothing substantial about... well, anything. Yep.
