10 Scariest Sci-Fi TV Shows Of All Time

1. Black Mirror

Few modern, if any, anthology series have gripped viewers the way Black Mirror has. Created by Charlie Brooker, this piece of dystopian science fiction tells some of the most dark and unsettling stories around. So far, it has delved into contemporary and controversial topics that other shows would be less likely to take a chance on.

But it's that kind of realism mixed with science fiction that sets Black Mirror apart from any other show out there. It's dark analysis of modern culture gives it a truly frightening vibe that's hard to match with more esoteric science fiction concepts. They tell stories that aren't as fictitious as they seem at first, and have some all too real elements.

So far, five series consisting of 22 episodes have been produced as well as one movie. Unfortunately, it's hard to say when or even if more episodes will be made. Brooker and fellow showrunner Annabel Jones have left the production company that makes Black Mirror, tying the award winning series up in rights issues.
