10 Scariest Sci-Fi TV Shows Of All Time
2. Stranger Things
From moment one, Netflix had to know they had a hit on their hands with the modern classic, Stranger Things. Bridging the gap between horror and science fiction, the 1980's throwback story tells a great story while throwing down a heavy nostalgia vibes for anyone who played Dungeons & Dragons in their friend's basement back in the day.
Set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, the show focuses on a group of friends fighting back against the nefarious work of Hawkins National Laboratory. The HNL opened a gate to the Upside Down, releasing any number of horrors from it. Fortunately, a psychokinetic girl named Eleven also escaped the HNL and fights alongside the good guys.
Stranger Things has released three seasons so far with a fourth on the way. The Duffer Brothers, the creators and showrunners of the series, have said it's likely to end after Season 5. But "likely" doesn't mean "definitely" so fans might end up with more Stranger Things than they're currently expecting.
