As anyone who has ever looked at an undisturbed tomb that has been lost to time for thousands and thousands of years will tell you, just don't go into the thousand-year-old undisturbed, obviously haunted ancient tomb.

But even though they probably have seen every horror movie ever, SG-1 goes into an ancient Goa'uld tomb, though it is because a Russian-based interplanetary team went into the tomb first.

The Russians were hoping to find a powerful Goa'uld device called the Eye of Tiamat. What they found along with the device was a monster infected with a long-dormant Goa'uld, who devours the Russians and almost kills all the team members sent in to find the first team.

Th Tomb is now only a terrifying episode, but it also has some pretty decent tension when the Goa'uld goes missing from its first host and the Russians and SG-1 are trapped in a standoff, each side being unable to tell who was now possessed by the alien symbiote.
