Everyone had that feeling as a kid of there being something outside their window wanting in. Children have overactive imaginations that can conjure up endless horrors and 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' asks one simple question: what if it wasn't just your imagination?

While digging into a case where children are mysteriously falling into comas, Dean realizes that the monster responsible is the same one that almost killed Sam when he was a younger.

The creature is known as a Shtriga. An old, decrepit Albanian witch with a taste for the life-force of kids. During the day, it's disguised as the same doctor entrusted with caring for the comatose children. That has to be some degree of malpractice.

A Shtriga can only be killed is when it's feeding. This leaves Sam and Dean no other choice than to use the brother of one of its victims as bait. Basically, this kid had to trust two strangers to save him from a near unkillable witch-monster before it drained the life from him. A gamble that fortunately pays off.

As the brothers point out, this kid's life is changed forever. Now he knows that monsters really do exist, and could be skulking right around the next corner. That's a lot to put on anybody, much less a child.
