10 Sci-Fi TV Series That Deserve A Second Chance

When it comes to being an offbeat series about alternate realities, no one beats Fringe.

The Fringe Division of the FBI investigates unexplained, sometimes horrifying, occurrences using what are often less than standard techniques. Much of their work centers around a parallel universe that mirrors the prime universe but has several minor and major differences.

While Fringe started with mystery and monster of the week episodes in the first season, it quickly adopted a more serialized style that built an ongoing narrative and world. That's the point it started picking up steam and building a real fan base. To make it even more interesting, there were episodes and storylines that focused solely on the alternate reality versions of the main characters.

In some ways, it was two shows in one.

Fringe would be perfect for new episodes or a full on reboot. The premise is still interesting with more stories to tell. Given that so much work was put into the original five seasons, it would be nice to see new episodes build on that.
