10 Sci-Fi TV Series That Deserve A Second Chance

2. Jericho

Fringe TV Show
CBS

Set in the fictional city of Jericho, Kansas, the story was instigated by 23 nuclear weapons going off in major centers around the United States. The residents of Jericho attempted to survive in this new, post-apocalyptic world being governed by factions trying to take over the fractured country.

At first a show about survival, Jericho quickly became a series about sinister plots and the forces trying to stop them

Jericho was cancelled after the first season of 22 episodes. Fans revolted, and cajoled CBS into making another season consisting of seven episodes. Again, it was cancelled. While Jericho had a passionate fan base, it wasn't big enough group of people for them to justify keeping the show on the air. Seasons three and four were actually produced as limited comic books series.

This show has consistently been rated as one of the top cult series of all time. If a desire to make more episodes ever catches the fancy anyone at one of the networks or streaming services, blueprints for seasons three and four have already been laid out.
