10 Sci-Fi TV Shows We'll Be Glued To This Year

5. Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D

If you stopped watching somewhere during the first season of Agents Of Shield (no, I'm not doing the acronym every time) then nobody would blame you. Held back until the last few episodes by the need to tie into the big twist of Captain America: Winter Soldier, the show felt substandard.

Those who stuck with the show know the truth though. The moment that twist dropped, the show went into overdrive trying to make up for the sharp drop in viewers and creating a vast mythology to stand alongside the movies. From the last six episodes of Season 1 to the genuinely surprising end of Season 6, Agents Of Shield has been one of the most consistently fun shows on television.

The characters in this series have gone through so much, changing and evolving with it in ways we rarely see in superhero shows. The show itself has grown beyond the movies that spawned it, and even given a much better Inhumans storyline than the Inhumans show managed, despite having no access to the big characters.

And, with Season 7 presenting Coulson and co.'s final story, even lapsed fans will be tuning in to see what happens.
