Wandavision is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, focusing on the love story between The Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff and the Mind Stone-imbued android, Vision. Set across several decades and with seemingly sitcom stylings, this looks to be a very strange show, not least because one of the main characters is dead in the movies (not that it stopped Agents of Shield's Coulson).

The clue to the series lies in two very specific storylines from the comics which created these characters. In the first, we see an increasingly unstable Wanda using her powers of reality manipulation to create children for her and Vision in their romance. This eventually leads to her entire breakdown and the decimation of the mutant race, as well as the Avengers being disassembled.

The second is the more recent Vision comic series where the android creates a wife and children of his own, then sees the American dream slowly turning into a nightmare when that family goes to increasingly excessive lengths to cover up an accidental murder.

With the show seemingly made to mash-up these two storylines, the MCU is about to get weird.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
