Back before the Joker was the Joker, he was known as the Red Hood.

As the story goes, this nervous, naive nobody ended up falling in with the wrong crowd as he looked to make enough money to pay his bills. Convinced to don the Red Hard outfit, this young man ended that night taking a dip in a vat of chemicals at the Axis factory. From there, he emerged with bleached skin, vibrant green hair, and a newfound insanity that would drive him to do some truly despicable acts.

Also present on that fateful night, was the Batman. And it was due to a tussle with the Caped Crusader that the Red Hood ended up taking the fall that would change his life.

Using it as a reminder of the night that shaped so much of both of their lives, Batman has the Red Hood outfit on display in the Batcave. Sometimes it's just the Red Hood helmet, other times it's the full Red Hood helmet, cape, and tuxedo combo.

Regardless, memories of the Red Hood and the night that Batman first met his true nemesis are usually found on display in the Batcave.
