7. Courtney Cox And Lisa Kudrow Reunite On Cougar Town
Face it: a proper Friends reunion is never going to happen. And in all honestly, it probably never should. These things are never better the second time around. But that hasn't stopped various TV shows from shamelessly utilising fan excitement and anticipation over the possibility of a reunion to its advantage.
Case in point: Cougar Town, which stars Courteney Cox (Monica Geller-Bing on Friends) as divorcee Jules Cobb. In the show, Lisa Kudrox (Phoebe Buffay) was brought on in the middle of season one to play Cobb's unpleasant dermatologist. At the time, the on-screen pairing was highly publicised, appealing to Friends' fans nostalgia.
And it worked: the episode was one of the highest rated of the season. Since then, any time two or more Friends alumni are set to appear on the same show together, it's bandied about like a legitimate Friends reunion.
