10 Signs You're Suffering From Doctor Who Withdrawal Syndrome

8. You're Bringing Up Doctor Who At Every Opportunity

Nobody likes a chatterbox but it's a universally acknowledged fact - *ahem* - that it's OK when the thing you're chatterboxing about is Doctor Who. After all, how else are you supposed to while away the never ending months until the next series? It's the perfect opportunity to convert your nearest and dearest to the Whovian way of life, too, although if they're not already part of our beloved show's coveted community then they don't really deserve your friendship in the first place (it's funny because it's true). Not that you should completely disown those who haven't yet had their eyes opened to the magnificence that is the world's longest running sci-fi franchise, though, and WhoCulture will not be held directly responsibly for any ensuing family disputes. As a Doctor Who fan it's your responsibility to welcome them aboard and the Doctor has established such a strong presence within pop culture - well, in Britain, at least - that everyone is at least partially familiar with him already, therefore the hard part has been done for you. Your closed ones have probably accepted that you're always going on about it but you know you're really suffering from Doctor Who withdrawals when you don't even realise you're doing it. That's certainly dangerous territory indeed but you're not hurting anybody (apart from your friend who purposefully scolds themselves with their tea for an excuse to "nip to the bathroom" and then subsequently never returns) so what's the big deal? There isn't one and if anybody has a problem with you for doing it, just hold up a TARDIS and shout, "Demon!' until they realise the error of their ways. Trust us. It works every time. Oh, and if they try to run away from you (à la Donna and Lance), they're just playing hard to get.
