10 Signs You're Suffering From Doctor Who Withdrawal Syndrome

4. You're Pretending Your Pen Is A Sonic Screwdriver

Because why not? It makes the menial task of having to write an essay at school or fill in some stupid work form that bit more bearable. The Doctor's trusty Sonic Screwdriver has been getting him out of all kinds of sticky situations over the years (unless said situations involve wood, in which case he's pretty much 'screwed' - geddit?) and as such pretending that you've got your very own is a great way of keeping your withdrawal symptoms at bay. Unless you have an actual Sonic Screwdriver pen, of course, in which case you are totally awesome. It doesn't matter if you writing device isn't an officially licensed replica, however, because all you have to do is provide the sound effects and your overactive imagination can do the rest. Just try to keep the noises to a minimum if you're in a serious environment, such as an exam, though. Believe it or not, waving your pen around in the air with your tongue sticking out whilst you buzz like a bee is a behaviour that's generally frowned upon in society. Unless there's a Doctor Who fan present, of course, in which you can exchange in a knowing glance as you're being escorted from the premises. Whovians, they've always got each other's backs.
