7. "Diamond" Joe Quimby Is A Long-lost Kennedy

Is "Diamond" Joe Quimby a relative of the Kennedys, the famous American political family? Or does "Quimby = Kennedy" in Springfield? In any case, the similarities are as endless as the "Lincoln/Kennedy" coincidences. Both Mayor Quimby and the Kennedys are Democrats with thick Boston accents; Quimby resides in the "Quimby Compound" with his wife who dresses exactly like JFK's wife, Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy; and Bart, seemingly aware of the connection, tries to pass himself off as a Quimby-nephew by calling himself "Bart-Bart," a play on John Kennedy, Jr.'s nickname "John-John." There is also video evidence that Quimby is related by marriage to Rainier Wolfcastle, Springfield's version of Arnold Schwarzaneggar (who was married to Ted Kennedy's niece, Maria Shriver.) When The Simpsons' Movie came out in 2007, Fox and USAToday.com held a contest to allow one of the many real-life Springfields to host the world premiere. In an attempt to land the premiere in his home state of Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy appeared in the video himself, inviting Joe Quimby personally to Springfield, MA, to enjoy some New England clam "chow-dah!"

The 'House is a father of two and husband of one in Minnesota. He is an improv comedian, and in his spare time follows WWE, MLB, The Simpsons, and Bob's Burgers. Growing up he was a huge fan of He-Man, and refuses to believe that it was in fact terrible.
