10 Sketchiest TV Businesspeople Of All Time

3. Jack Donaghy - 30 Rock

The Simpsons Mr Burns
NBC

30 Rock was as much about the business world as it was the creative world. More than that, it was about two worlds intersecting and what their impacts were on each other. A lot of the comedy in the series came from that simple and ongoing incongruity.

The representative of the creative world was Liz Lemon, the mind behind the fictional series TGS. Her flailing life was a driving force behind 30 Rock. Somehow, even when her life got better she still found a way to make it worse. Liz and her tragic yet inspiring life should have been the subject of a psychology grad student's thesis or a Shakespearean play.

Jack Donaghy, on the other hand, was 30 Rock's main representative of the business world. He worked his way up through the ranks of GE, ending up in charge of NBC. But to get there, he admitted to stepping on a lot of people along the way. Once he met Liz, he became a more of a moral guy though Jack also dragged Liz down into the muck a little.
