2. Omega
Once Omega was the great “Stellar Engineer” of Gallifrey, but was later banished to the anti-matter universe, and became the only individual in creation to live in such a place and became its ruler. However, the time in the anti-matter universe, as well as hatred for the Time Lords who exiled him, Omega was driven insane.
Despite his madness, Omega was renowned for his incredibly strong will. This strong will was what allowed him dominion over this universe and shape it to his will. However, this insanity and wish for vengeance was what resulted in his original failure to escape this universe.
Back on Gallifrey, before his exile, in the planet’s early days, Omega achieved advanced forms of interstellar travel. Along with Rassilon, he and Omega were among very few Gallifreyans who gave thought to Gallifrey’s future destiny.
Omegas greatest achievement was the creation of the “Hand of Omega”, a remote stellar manipulator which was pivotal in Gallifrey’s quest for time travel. Hand of Omega could make stars go supernova, a science which was required in order to create the Eye of Harmony, the power source for time travel.
Whilst it was Omega who was the genius behind this device there is one more Time Lord who was even smarter…
