When a bunch of archaeolgists open up a supposedly cursed burial mound in a quaint English village, strange things start to happen. Can the Doctor and UNIT stop these forces before they get out of hand? And what does the Master have to do with it all? From its opening scene full of toads, rain, churchyards to the village's very name, Devil's End, this episode is drenched in superstition, curses, witches and dark magic. The episode is also unintentionally amusing, as it features a, then fictional, BBC 3 channel decades before its creation! A fun, hokey episode with plenty of atmosphere and the Master to boot!
