It seems as though every day this year, there are different snippets of sad news that punches us directly in the heart. While this list features people who have passed away, this will most certainly be a celebration of the lives that these people have lived. There are many faces here that represent some of the most memorable moments and scenes in the franchise, so it is a history lesson in itself.

There are people here hailing from both the Prime and Kelvin universes, The Original Series and Deep Space Nine, including the most recent loss on this list, who appeared in Enterprise.

While speaking about those we've lost comes with its own inherent sadness, let this list be a continuance of the legacies that these people have left behind. And it is also very important for us to say, this is merely a selection of actors who have passed. As of the writing of this article, Star Trek novelist Dave Galanter has just passed away, following a short battle with cancer. Our sincere condolences to his family at this time.

Let us remember those who have left us behind.

Pamela Kosh appeared twice in Star Trek: The Next Generation, starting with her appearance in the sixth season episode Time's Arrow, Part 2. There, she played Mrs. Karmichael, the 'Irish' landlady of the house that the crew board in while searching for Data. She, not unreasonably, arrives demanding the rent from 'Mr. Pick-erd', who manages to turn the situation around by casting her, on the spot, as Titania, in their upcoming production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Her second appearance came in the final episode, All Good Things (pictured). Here, she played Jessel, the housekeeper for Data. Similar to her previous appearance, she was a no nonsense person who had very definitely opinions about Data's new streak of grey hair - and be sure not to criticize her tea making skills!

In addition to her two appearances on Star Trek, she appeared in many other television shows, though she may be best known for playing Miss Simpson on Saved By The Bell. She passed away on 21st October 2020 at 90 years of age, leaving many memorable performances for audiences to enjoy.
