10 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2020

7. Michael Keenan

Star Trek Patrick
CBS

Michael Keenan appeared as three different roles in Star Trek. First, he appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He appeared in the seventh season's infamous episode, Sub Rosa. There, he played Maturin, the leader of the colony that is haunted by the ghost of Ronin. He would then return to Star Trek in Voyager, playing the hologram Hrothgar in the first season episode Heroes and Demons.

He might best be remembered to Star Trek fans for his appearance as Patrick, one of the genetically enhanced, yet socially disfunctional, patients with whom Dr. Bashir works in both Statistical Probabilities and Chrysalis in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. His childlike behaviour is very sweet as there is clearly not a mean bone in his body.

Keenan had a long career in acting before this, while his most memorable role came in Picket Fences, playing Mayor Bill Pugen. He was also very active in theatre, directing shows throughout his long career and also serving a member of the faculty in USC's School for Dramatic Arts.

According to his IMDB page, one of his personal quotes was 'If you're working hard, you're doing something wrong.'

He passed away on 30th April 2020 from natural causes. He was 80 years old.
