10 Star Wars Expanded Universe Characters Who Deserve A Second Chance On Disney+
7. Galen Marek
In the early days of the Galactic Empire, Darth Vader continued his hunt for any Jedi that escaped the purge of Order 66. On the Wookie home world of Kashyyyk, he found Kento, a Jedi who had lost his wife - who was also a Jedi - but had a young son. Vader killed Kento, and took his son Galen Marek on as his secret apprentice.
Raised as Sith under the name Starkiller, Marek believed it was his destiny to help Vader overthrow the Emperor and seize control of the Empire. Unfortunately, Vader betrayed him at every turn, though Malek's actions led to the formation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. It was a surprising legacy for someone who followed the Dark Side.
Galen's adventures were primarily chronicled in the popular The Force Unleashed video games as well as the subsequent book and comic book tie ins. His story provides an interesting glimpse into an era of Star Wars history that has not gotten as much coverage in the current continuity.
