5. Jon Bon Jovi
Jon Bon Jovi, lead singer of hard-rock band Bon Jovi, famed for such hits as "It's My Life", turned down a role on The Simpsons in the season 14 episode "Brake My Wife, Please". In the episode, Homer and Marge's marriage deteriorates when Marge accidentally mows her husband down with her car, crushing his pelvis and rendering him incapable of looking after himself. Marge goes on to further hurt Homer by accidentally spilling hot soup all over him, and the Simpson dad begins to suspect his wife is out to do him harm. The duo see a marriage counsellor who suggests to Homer he performs one unselfish task to win the love of his life back, and plans a barbecue in Marge's honour. Bon Jovi were originally planned to perform a song at the barbecue but declined the role and instead Jackson Browne sings a duet with Homer to help him repair his relationship.
