10 Strangest Ever Doctor Who Villains

5. The Absorbaloff

Featured in the tenth episode of Nu Who€™s season two, €˜Love & Monsters€™, The Absorbaloff is a real oddity€ a middle-aged comedian from Lancashire in prosthetics, prancing around in a loincloth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZWGeidvrJw Seemingly a throwback to old school Who, the bodysnatching Absorbaloff is no one€™s idea of scary €“ unless you€™re William Grantham, of course, the creator of the creature. William, now sixteen, was nine when he won a Blue Peter competition to design a Doctor Who monster€ although, in fairness to him, he originally meant the creature to be around the size of a double decker bus, and not to be played by Peter Kay. There€™s no monster in the world that won€™t look ridiculous played by Peter Kay in his pants. Still, silly or not, the Absorbaloff has to rank as one of the weirdest villains Doctor Who€™s ever had.
