4. Hank is Murdered Season 5, Episode 14 Ozymandias"
The death of Hank Schrader was a reminder to the viewers that in the Breaking Bad universe, all decisions have consequences. Especially prideful ones. At numerous points in his multiyear-spanning search for Heisenberg, Hank could have thrown in the towel. This dangerous pursuit damaged his professional reputation, threatened his marriage, and nearly ended his life multiple times before the events of Ozymandias finally did him in. Even after finding out that his brother-in-law, the mild-mannered cancer survivor, was the shadowy kingpin, he couldnt stop. Even after Walt assures him its over (and threatens him), Hank cant help but barreled forward. He has to get his man. This is what he does. This is what is right. Walt deserved to pay, and Hank deserved to be the one who brought him in. Until that final moment when Uncle Jack pulled the trigger and Hanks body slumped to the desert floor, viewers had to believe that somehow their good guy would find a way to turn the tables. To get back in the game, and continue the hunt. But he simply tempted fate one too many times.
He writes half-baked novels and twitter fiction. He makes short films for contests. He plays mostly unheard music. He painted something once, and it was... okay.
