3. Walt Watches Jane Die Season 2, Episode 12 Phoenix
Jane was not long for the Breaking Bad world. Anything threatening to come between Jesse and Walt would not survive, as Jesse's fear of Walt was too great and Walt's need for Jesse's obedience to crucial. The scene starts with purest of intentions. After a conversation with a man at a bar (Jane's father, in a tragic twist unbeknownst to Walt), Walt realises whether he likes it or not, Jesse is family. And he can't simply watch him waste away. He knocks repeatedly, before slipping in the back door and seeing first hand the squalor and degradation heroin has brought into Jesse's home. He attempts to wake Jesse, jostling him and causing Jane to turn on her back. She begins to choke, and the father and human being in Walt rushes to her side to help. But then... he doesn't. As viewers screamed "wake her up!" at the television, he pulls away, and watches in horror as the life slip from Jane's body. Without laying a hand on her, he condemned her to die. Jane brought chaos and destruction to Jesse's life, but still deserved a better fate.
He writes half-baked novels and twitter fiction. He makes short films for contests. He plays mostly unheard music. He painted something once, and it was... okay.
