10 Stupidly Risky Plans From TV's Most Notorious Villains

6. The Governor Tries Again (And Again) - The Walking Dead

Despite having the wherewithal to build a successful if sinister community in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse, Philip €œThe Governor€ Blake proves that despite being a violent psychopath, he€™s a much better leader during peace time. Every time he comes up against his arch nemesis Rick Grimes, he ends up on the wrong side of a beating. The fact that he keeps going back for more gets points for trying I suppose. When he discovers that Rick and co. have settled into an abandoned prison, The Governor decides that he isn't having any of it and launches a full-scale attack. Despite having superior numbers and firepower, his followers just don€™t have the grim determination of the Ricktatorship and are promptly forced to retreat. Instead of giving his troops a pep talk like a proper leader, The Governor instead decides it would be a better option to shoot them all. That is just step one of his awful decision making. Step two is concocted when he encounters another group of survivors who happen to own a fully functional tank. Given the choice between a shot at redemption or a chance for revenge, unsurprisingly the eyepatch-wearing maniac picks the latter. Trying the exact same plan again, only this time with artillery, he fails once more. The only thing gained from taking this risk was the public beheading of a one-legged octogenarian farmer which I don€™t think counts as a win, especially when you end up being stabbed and eaten as a result.
