10 Superhero TV Shows That Completely Missed The Mark

Some comic book heroes simply don’t translate well into the modern era. Given that there are endless comic book series for writers and producers to adapt, it seems strange that people keep revisiting this 1930s comic strip.

But in 2007, Sci-Fi launched an ambitious regeneration of the Buck Rogers wannabe, attempting to capitalise on the success of the similar live action superhero series Smallville. Unsurprisingly, even attempts to update the story by casting the protagonist as a young guy who lives at home with his mum did little to excite fans.

Low-budget special effects and meandering story lines led to the show being critically crucified, the show ending after one series… failing to even be a Flash in the pan.
