10 Superheroes Who Would Work Better On Television

1. The Punisher

Frank Castle has already been given the movie treatment a couple of times and has appeared in several cartoons and video game adaptations, but The Punisher is a character who is just screaming for his own series. Not only is the fact that he is not a super-powered being an advantage when it comes to special effects, but his more violent approach to crime fighting would be perfect for a network like HBO or even AMC, who have done wonderful things with their adaptation of The Walking Dead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWpK0wsnitc Like most heroes, Frank Castle took up his role as a superhero after his family was murdered. The great thing about a hero like The Punisher is that because he is a regular human who uses brutal force instead of powers, he can be put into more dangerous situation where it looks like he may not make it out alive, which always makes for a great cliffhanger. Thomas Jane could reprise the role or they could recast him with someone younger to begin his story all over again. It would also be cool to see Frank Castle pop up on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or one of the upcoming Netflix series Marvel has under production, but having him anchor his own show is really the best way for the most vengeful man in all of comics to be brought back into the fold. The world of comic books is filled with literally hundreds of superheroes who could all make great lead characters in their own TV show. Which heroes do you think would work better on TV than in a film?
