Doctor Who has run for a long time, and has racked up quite a dedicated fanbase during that time. With fans dipping in and out over decades and decades, you're gonna meet a few duds. But surely you'd realise that the few don't represent the many. Well, the Doctor Who showrunners haven't figured that out yet.

You see, much like the previously mentioned Supernatural, Doctor Who has dabbled in meta humour that ended up hurting fans.

Doctor Who is very guilty of inventing characters that very obviously makes fun of the fanbase. You have Whizzkid who was a direct reference to newer fans that weren't alive to watch the original season but who claim that the show "is not as good as it used to be" while still being obsessed with it. And if their stance on those kinds of fans wasn't obvious enough, the brutal demise of Whizzkid for sure solidified their views.

You then have Doctor fangirl Osgood, a sympathetic and beloved character in the fanbase, who was also brutally murdered in the show, showing that the writers found the fans disposable.

And there are so many more occasions of the show sassing the fans, like snarky comments, sly references and evil villains based on certain outspoken fan groups.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
