10 Terrible CGI Moments In Big Budget TV Shows
2. The Flash - Firestorm
CW's The Flash is rightfully seen as the best live-action iteration of the character, and the show has boasted some incredible CGI since it premiered in 2014.
However, a show forced to rely so heavy on visual effects to represent the powers of its heroes and villains is bound to make a few fumbles.
While many fans feel the slow-motion fight scenes leave a lot to be desired, possibly the most offensive use of CGI on the show is Firestorm.
In essence, Firestorm is a sort of nuclear Human Torch, flying around the skies, lit up like everyone's least favourite uncle at a Christmas party.
The extent of the CGI for the character is usually just an aura of fireballs around the character as Firestorm blasts bad guys left and right, and it really isn't very appealing.
It isn't just that the effect isn't impressive, it's the obvious lack of effort that went into it. Every time you watch Firestorm, it feels as though the CGI powers on show were added last minute as an afterthought on the hope that no one would notice just how ugly they are.
