10 Terrible Glee Musical Numbers

5. Jolene: Dolly Parton

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDcbMyL6g7M The inclusion of this at number five is more out of disappointment than anything else. FYI, the music attached is not the performance I am referring to- but simply what could have been. The great and powerful Dolly Parton classic was given to Coach Bieste in Season 3's worst episode (I Kissed A Girl) in a terribly forgettable and wasted moment that was rushed over. It wasn't horrendous, but it was nothing special and it was mostly forgettable. No one is going to be telling people after they watch this episode that they must check out Coach Bieste's performance. The reason this is included at number 5 (although with out this reason it would still have been included somewhere on this list) is because Samuel Larsen- joint winner of the Glee Project season 1 and now New Directions member Joe Hart sang this song to perfection on the reality program. Honestly, this is probably the greatest cover of this song I have ever heard and I may even like it better than the original. This cover needed to be on Glee, and now it is very unlikely that it ever will because of Coach Bieste's pointless and very random rendition of the show. I have nothing against her as a character, and actually like her duet with Puck of Taylor Swifts "Mean" but don't give great songs to people who can't sing... especially when people who can sing like Samuel Larsen would have probably loved the chance to do his cover on the program. A wasted opportunity here.

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
