1. He Is Responsible For The New Series' Best Episodes
Whenever a new list of the Top 10 NuWho Episdoes is conducted, it's a high possibility that most of them - at least half, anyway - will have been written by Steven Moffat. In Series 1, the best and first great stories of modern Doctor Who were The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances. In Series 2, it was The Girl in the Fireplace. Series 3 had blink and the quality of Series 4 was taken to new heights in the fantastic Library two-parter (although that's second best to Russell T Davies' Midnight). And what do this all these have in common? Yep, you've guessed it! Moffat at his prime gained so much critical acclaim it gave the revived series the level of credibility it arguably couldn't have managed without him. This list has talked about how Moffat's over ambitiousness can lead him into putting too many story ideas into one canvas, but sometimes that has proven to be a good thing. An example is Silence of the Library/Forest of the Dead which features a planet sized library, a woman from the future, a virtual reality akin to the Matrix, a supercomputer with the consciousness of a little girl and a shadowy figure that could eat anything in its path to boot. Somehow, though, Steven Moffat managed to make it work. Even in his early days as showrunner, he still brought out some good stories. But sometimes he just cannot make the complicated storylines work. Sadly, as time goes by, even he got lost amidst the chaos. But one day he shall come back. Yes, he shall come back... What do you think of this list? Is there anything we haven't mentioned which we can thank Steven Moffat for? Post your comments below.
Once upon a time, Jon ended up in a huge dark room with a giant screen... and he never left.
