2. Father Doesn't Know Best
Honestly, most of what Homer Simpson does it complete buffoonery, and you probably shouldn't use him as a role model. That much is obvious. Heck, most of what he does will probably get you killed. Let's be honest though - for part of your life, there's a good chance you really thought your Father knew what was best. Father's tend to be rulers of their kingdom, and come complete with a "do as I say, not as I do" policy that is often swallowed without question. Homer shows how that doesn't work. Yes, it's in extremes, but his tendency to do his thinking at the bar is all too real, as is his tendency to overreact. No, most dad's aren't like Homer Simpson. But he is a lot like most dads.
