10 Things That Every Parent Of A Doctor Who Fan Should Know

1. Revel In Your Children's Fear

All good parents want to shield their offspring from distress, right? Well, most of the time maybe. Whovians€™ sweetest memories of the Doctor are of the times when they were most scared. Whether it€™s animated shop dummies killing people in the street or a webbed hand rising from the water, those chills live with you forever. NuWho youngsters will one day tell their children of their own behind the sofa moments. They may explain that they have hated drinking straws ever since watching the Plasmavore feed in 2007€™s Smith and Jones. She may then go on to explain that granddad hates dolls because of the Auton troll-toy he saw in 1971. This is why your heart will leap with joy when your children scream, gasp and hide their faces. €˜Normal€™ parents would switch the telly off. Whovians know to give their kids a cuddle and watch on beside them. They remember that feeling and know that the child wants to see what happens next more than anything. Witnessing it in your children is the closest you can get to reliving that wonderful fear, and who wouldn€™t want that? What did you think of this list? From your own experiences, is there anything else that a parent of a Doctor Who fan should know? Leave your tips in the comments section below!
