10. Can You Both Go Out On A Night When A New Episode Is Airing?
Saturday evenings are a great time for a couple to go out on a date. Except when one of them is a Whovian and the Saturday in question just happens to fall within a particular 12 or 13 week period when a certain programme is on. When there's a new episode to watch, the non-fan can forget about dragging the Whovian away from the TV. There could be a flood, asteroid strike or Biblical plague and the fan would still be sat there, eyes glued to the best thing on telly ever: a new Doctor Who episode! And before anyone says a word, no, it's not the same watching it later on catch up or as a repeat. Be serious! It is vitally important that the fan see the episode as it first airs, so a full analysis and humorous memes can be posted online ASAP. If the fan was forced to watch the episode later, they'd miss out on the best part of the whole experience - talking it over with friends afterwards, all of whom saw it on first transmission, naturally. There could be even more serious consequences. The fan would probably be asked to hand in his Whovian card (note to the not-we: that was a joke; there is no such thing as a Whovian card. Even though that would be awesome.)
