10 Things That Need To Happen If Torchwood Comes Back

10. Abandon America

Sorry - especially to all of our US readers - but it's true. Torchwood is ours. If you don't believe us, just watch the show's most recent offering and you'll understand why. For some reason they thought it would be a good idea for Torchwood to abandon its unique Welsh roots (more on those later) and venture across the pond for its ill fated fourth series but all it proved was that sometimes even the American dream can turn into a sour nightmare. The fact that the BBC had joined forces with US network Starz meant they were contractually obliged to take the majority of the action Stateside but they didn't have to completely destroy everything the show stood for in the process. Or is that just us being over dramatic? If Torchwood returns, though, abandoning America is the first thing it would need to do. There's a reason Torchwood is Torchwood and not CSI and Miracle Day came dangerously close to becoming yet another clone of the frivolous amount of crime drama shows that are already on offer. Don't get us wrong, they're all great at what they do but does the televisual market really need another one? If it does, Torchwood it ain't gonna be.
