9. Cardiff Comeback
Croeso i Cymru! The only way of restoring Torchwood to its former glory would be to bring it back to where it all began. As mentioned on the previous page, setting the fourth series in America just wasn't the same and the show's initial success in its early years was largely down to its whimsical (for all the best reasons) Welsh setting and roots. As such, it lost its uniqueness - and some would even say its entire point - when it crossed the pond in 2011. Not only was Torchwood a way for the Whoniverse to honour the city in which Doctor Who has been filmed since its return to our screens nearly a decade ago, and one which has since financially benefited from its association with the franchise, it also provided an interesting backdrop to the spin off's extra terrestrial excursions which made it stand out as one of the most original shows on TV. For that reason alone, a Cardiff comeback must be on the cards.
